9-13 Fun Fact
The Star Gate sequence in Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odessey was created using slit scan photography. Basically, the camera is placed on a dolly between two pieces of blacked-out glass, which had small slits of transparency. Many different images and colors are placed on the opposite side of the glass, and the camera is moved back and forth. Check it out!

First Speech!
I completed my first speech in Public Speaking, and I think it went really well! Due to a misunderstanding on my part, I didn't have any guides (notecards, outline) to help me, but I think I did better because of it. Here's to hoping I did well and that my next speeches are even better!

9-3 Fun Fact(s)
In honor of "Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812" closing on Broadway today, here are some comet facts!

(On another note, just because the show is closing, doesn't mean we can't still enjoy the music and memories it left us with. Everyone go give it a try!)
-Comets orbit the sun in an ellipse, just like the planets!
-The average speed of a comet ranges from 10 to 70 kilometers!
-Halley's Comet is visible every 76 years!
-The Great Comet of 1811 was said to have been a warning for Napoleon's invasion of Russia and the War of 1812 (sometimes it's referred to as Napoleon's Comet!)
-This is the same comet that appears in the finale of "Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812"!

Adulting #1
My roommate and I needed to go to Walmart today, and it was an adventure. We we trying to take the city bus and had just missed one. We waited a while, then realized we were on the wrong side of the street! So we sprint and catch the bus just in time. We got to Walmart, didn't impulse-buy everything we saw (read: not everything), and returned safely. Yay adulting!

Fun Fact - In the Little Shop Of Horrors movie, Audrey II (the singing plant!) was not made with CGI. It was a puppet, and its scenes were shot in slow motion and then sped up to give it a more realistic appearance. Check it out!

Well, here we are.
My friend Melissa once told me I should do a blog about all the crazy random things that happen in my life, because one day when I was telling her about them she said "Damn, Cam." The name stuck, and thus, here we are. College is wild and I'm gonna tell you all about it.
I wanna post fun facts too. Everyone loves fun facts.
